Please include your device model, iOS version, Lumifilm version/build and the steps to reproduce the issue. Photos are optional; send them only if you choose to.

Camera access

Allow Camera in iOS Settings → Apps → Lumifilm. Camera formats, lenses, resolutions and manual controls depend on your device.

Saving and importing

Use the gallery to choose a photo through Apple's photo picker. Allow access to add photos when saving. If saving to Photos is refused, your capture can remain in Lumifilm.

Does editing require an internet connection?

No. Lumifilm's editing models run on your device. Apple may need a connection to retrieve an original that is stored only in iCloud Photos.

Why can Bokeh or Erase take time?

Depth analysis and image reconstruction are computed locally. The time depends on your device, image size, scene and thermal state. Imported photos may require additional analysis. Keep Lumifilm open until processing finishes.

Why is my video silent?

The current release records silent video and time-lapse. It does not request microphone access.

How do I remove Lumifilm's local data?

Save anything you want to keep, then use Delete App in iOS Settings. Offload App retains data. Images saved to Photos, shared with another app or included in backups must be managed separately.

Photos and editing stay on your device
Lumifilm processes camera frames, selected photos, edits and video on your device. It does not send your photos, videos, face information or editing results to us or to an AI service. Its editing models are included in the app and run locally. There are no advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs in Lumifilm, and no Lumifilm account is required.

Camera and photo permissions
Camera access enables the viewfinder and capture. Apple's photo picker lets you choose items to import. Permission to add to Photos lets Lumifilm save your results. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Apple may download a selected iCloud Photos original according to your own Apple settings; that is an Apple service, not an upload to Lumifilm.

Face, body and depth information
Portrait tools locally estimate facial landmarks, eye and iris boundaries, skin and hair masks, body regions and scene depth to place the edits you select. Compatible cameras can also provide depth or portrait masks. This information is used for photo editing, not to identify you, authenticate you, build identity profiles, track you or train our models. We do not receive, sell or share this information.

Storage and retention
Captures and saved edits may remain in Lumifilm's local app storage and, if you choose to save them, in Apple Photos. Editor previews, face thumbnails, masks and undo data are temporary session files that the app removes when the session closes normally. Bokeh may retain a bounded local analysis cache, including a reduced image and depth/mask data, to speed up repeat edits; it is excluded from device backup and replaced as the cache fills. Interrupted sessions can leave temporary files until later cleanup or removal of the app. Settings and model compatibility preferences are stored locally.

Deleting the app using Delete App, rather than Offload App, removes its local data. Photos you saved or shared elsewhere and any device backups are separate; manage those in Photos, the receiving app or your Apple backup settings. We cannot access or delete copies on your device.

Photo metadata and sharing
Edited exports can retain the source photo's capture date, camera information and embedded location metadata. Lumifilm does not request your current location. Review a photo's location information before sharing if you do not want recipients to receive it. Sharing occurs only when you choose a destination using the system share sheet, and that destination's privacy policy applies.

Support and Apple services
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use it to answer your request. Please do not send private photos unless they are needed for your request. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence, subject to any legal retention requirements. Apple handles App Store distribution, TestFlight feedback and optional system diagnostics under its own policies and your settings.

Children and changes
Lumifilm is a general-purpose camera and photo editor, not a service designed to collect information from children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app. We will update this policy when the app's data practices change and show the new effective date.
